About
Johnny was born and raised in Steamboat Springs and was a successful Nordic Combined skier competing in the 1998, 2002, 2006 and 2010 Olympic Games. In 2010, Johnny won 3 Silver medals in the Vancouver Olympics. Johnny has been a fly fisherman his whole life and has been guiding since 2001. In 2013, Johnny purchased Steamboat Flyfisher and is currently the owner with Rob Burden.

Swift Ranch Full Day Fly Guide
About an hour away from Steamboat, the Swift ranch encompasses miles of the North Platte River and the Roaring Fork River. This property is so big that we are still finding new spots to fish every time we head out. While you may not see the same sort of numbers we see at some of our other locations, the opportunity for a fish of a lifetime is there. Browns and rainbows make up most of the catch, but we have caught the occasional brookie and cutthroat. This trip is for full days only.
