About
After seeing one too many reflections in the icy Adirondack Mountains, Mark took a drive to McCall and never skied back. After several years of teaching lessons, tuning gear, and working in marketing at Brundage Mountain, he began a pursuit of guiding rock climbing with Idaho Mountain Guides in the warmer months. He continues to coach the McCall Winter Sports Club Backcountry Team, and guide for Payette Powder Guides when winter takes hold. If he’s not skiing or climbing, he’s practicing photography/videography with Payette Media Productions, playing music with friendly people, tinkering/building something, deep diving into a Youtube rabbit hole, or enjoying the company of family & friends. His favorite ski descents include the Middle Teton Glacier, Nick Peak, Monument Peak, Mt. Adams and Tuckerman’s Ravine.

West Central Mountains Yurt Trip
Come join us for a powder skiing experience you'll never forget! Located in the heart of Idaho's West Central Mountains, our two yurts and sauna sit amidst thousands of acres of untracked powder in a designated non-motorized area. From mellow, burned tree glades to the steep and deep, let PPG take care of the trail breaking, over-the-top meals, and snowcat/snowmobile transportation.

Lick Creek Mountains: Guided Day Trips
Spend a day hiking and skiing in the heart of the Lick Creek Mountains. Our comfortable four-stroke touring snowmobiles will take smaller groups (2 - 6 people) to the access point of your guided hike & ski tour. Larger groups or adverse road conditions will utilize snowcat transportation.
Numerous 9000 foot peaks offer terrain for all abilities and fitness levels. With such classics as Snowslide Lake and Sawtooth Peak along the way, we can choose to bag a peak or lap some powder runs.
Further up the canyon, Beaverdam offers more lines than you can ski in a day; in particular, the burned trees on its shoulder offer some excellent powder skiing. A stop at the yurts to enjoy a hot cup of tea next to the fire with lunch on a stormy day, or apres ski on the sun deck with a cold beverage, is an nice option while the diehards spin another lap. Still further, past the yurts, places like Duck & Burnside Lakes, Hum Saddle, Cly Lakes and Rain Peak offer a lifetime of choices for your next ski adventure.
